I ment to mention, I'd my transmission rebuilt 2 months back plus the 4wd worked then. I place my Blazer on jack stands and began tracing the hissing audio (air leaking?). I’ve discoverd the hissing sounds is coming through the transfer case.
I cannot give any even more recommend aside from what I've previously posted below. I removed my Blazer in 2007.
I assumed I’d give it a try to see what I could do (the plastic bag the thing is in the third graphic has a few additional spare connectors just in case it at any time comes about again… I’ll know suitable where These are!).
Nicely, do what you could and let me know — And that i’ll do my best to help you by means of it — I’d choose to see you resolve it far too! Regards;
Sorry for your extended article, I just don’t know where to begin. Like I reported I believe my four×four functions it just received’t “keep” it in 2HI? Many thanks for almost any support.
The one-way links towards the documents happen to be eliminated as I did not realize they were uploaded to a file server to article here. I must have backed them around my server, but didn't — I apologize for that.
Hmmm… my to start with imagined is that it is a wiring trouble. Why? Just because you can confirm that the method performs by putting it into 4Lo. If you can find the program into 4Lo, that tells me the TCCM is Performing (or at the very least the 4Lo component is), the encoder motor is Doing work, and also the vacuum is Performing (the front hub is participating — the vacuum swap and diaphram are working). I’d Test the wires are classified as the TCCM initially, then possibly the encoder motor future.
Seems like your transfer scenario gears are worn — I just had mine changed with very few hours on them.
What it seems like is maybe you have an encoder motor trouble — this is the motor on the facet with the Transfer Situation that controls the shifting of the various “modes” (2Hi, 4Hi & 4Lo).
I write-up what I've encountered throughout MY OWN REPAIRS — I put up this data and state that, but in some way persons never ever read through the posts, however they depart opinions or remarks inquiring me how to fix a thing that I realize almost nothing about.
Ryan claims: April 2, 2008 at 9:24 pm Thanks to the response to my put up before, And that i had pep boys do a vacuum check to the procedure and so they stated each point was seemed to be Alright, so i bought that four wheel generate swith from napa and installed it,(it went into your front axle correct where the cable with the actuator attaches), still no luck. so i could see some type of sensor along with the transfer scenario with 3 vacuum traces attached to it, so i changed i, and Once more nevertheless nothing at all, so i have a pair extra Browse Around HERE issues…their is an additional sensor about the tail pice from the transfer scenario, I had been told it's the pace Regulate sensor, could that be the challenge?
denes suggests: June 8, 2008 at 4:28 pm The encoder motors usually are unsuccessful over the 2002+ autrotrac (4 4wb buttons) blazers and s10 p/u’s. A printed circuit board Make contact with “cooks out” In the encoder motor confimation switches. Just so you recognize, the A,B, and C switches inform the TCCM what normal change postion they’re in. the P switch can be a singal to your TCCM when to stop the motor (last park postion). I am really certain A is 2wd, B is 4wd hi, and C is 4wd lower. For those who’re a bit clever w/ electronics, You can even deal with the TCCM complications w/ new relays.
As I stated, I haven't tested any in the button wires, as I have not had that individual problem (however) — so, before you do that, you'll want to verify what I'm declaring is real.
Changed the fuse and right away blew yet again, I had been stuck in four-hi. Came property that night, tapped on the transfer case and encoder motor using a rubber mallet, changed the fuse and 4wd worked. Place truck in two-Hello and no sound. Started the truck yesterday plus the fuse was blown all over again. Ultimately went and acquired an encoder motor and changed it this morning. Now nothing at all seems to do the job but TCCM(which seemed to function wonderful in advance of). Press four-hi button, and TCCM clicks about five times, then defaults again to two-Hello. Exact factor in four-lo. Immediately after seeking this about five situations, it received’t even seek to go in 4wd, just clicks and stays in two-Hello. Pull battery and it resets but goes back again to the exact same difficulty. Remeoved the Encoder motor and reinstalled, no luck. Any Suggestions?? Do you're thinking that I obtained a foul encoder motor from areas retailer? I don’ty have adequate hair as it really is, I don’t choose to pull more out. Many thanks.
